John Henry Franklin Sr. was born on September 20, 1934 to Mr. Henry and Mrs. Mamie Franklin in New Willard, Tx.
John graduated from Dunbar High School and later joined the U.S. Army.
John was employed with Lake Livingston Water Supply for 33 years as a Water works class C operator. He loved spending time with family at family functions. Family meant everything to him. His favorite sports team is the Houston Texans, he loved watching them on Sundays. He also loved hunting and fishing.
John accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. John was a faithful and devoted member of First Community Missionary Baptist Church even until his demise.
He is proceeded in death by both of his parents; Wife: Odie Franklin; Son: John H. Franklin Jr; Granddaughter: Gamay Robinson; 3 Brothers; 6 Sisters.
John leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children: Gwendolyn Robinson, Alvin Franklin, Anthony Franklin (Nanika), Robbie Foreman, Yolanda Harrell (Ricky), Tyler Franklin (Royalty), Kyler Franklin; Sisters: Mary White, Juanita Jones, Emma Johnson, Bernice Foreman; GodDaughter: Zoe Tolvert; Special Nephew: Anthony Franklin (Mykela); Daughter-In-Law: Aquila Franklin; 20 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grands, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives and friends.
