Jack White Jr.

April 1, 1933 — August 26, 2025

Livingston, Texas

Jack White, Jr. was born on April 1, 1933 to parents Jack White, Sr. and Mary Lee (Grace) White. Jack was born in Alabama Point, near Livingston, Texas and built a life and raised his family in the surrounding area.

Jack joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and gave his life to Christ at an early age. In his later years and until his death, he was a member of Spirit of Integrity Worship Center, under the leadership of his son, the late Pastor Charles White and grand-daughter, Victoria White.

During segregation, Jack attended the all black schools in the Blanchard Community. At the beginning of his junior year of high school, Jack sat with his father and made a conscience decision that school needed to become secondary to work. Jack dropped out of high school and began working alongside his father and many other men who would become pillars of the Blanchard and Livingston communities. This was the beginning of a legacy of work ethic, sacrifice, and entrepreneurship.

Along with raising cattle and farming, Jack Jr. worked in the lumber and logging industry most of his life. Jack is fondly remembered for the countless years, days, and hours spent at the infamous “woodyard” on HWY 190 where Jack never met a stranger and didn’t hesitate to share his honest opinions with anyone who dared to sit for a while and chat.

Jack married his loving wife and life partner, Patience White, on September 18, 1956. Jack and Patience were blessed with eight children and raised their family in Blanchard, Texas, on Jack White Rd., to be exact. Five of their children- Don, Charles, Patricia, Claudette, and Gail- grew to bless their lives into adulthood, while three- Jerry, Gary, and John- were called home in childhood.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Patience White, daughter, Gail White, sons Charles and Don White, and grandson, Don White Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters: Patricia White and Claudette White, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
