Iola Davis

Iola Davis was born November 2, 1953 in Livingston, Texas. She passed away surrounded by family on September 17, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Iola attended cosmetology school in Houston, Texas and completed her license in 1987. In her youth, she prided herself on her beautiful hair and seldom was seen without it perfectly fixed.

She enjoyed and appreciated the music of Michael Jackson, George Clinton, and Spiritual Gospels. She stayed jovial in her love for dancing and singing. She was known for her humorous quotes that would leave a chuckle of spirit on everyone’s hearts (ie Imagine that!, Rhythm and Rhyme works all the time!)

Iola married and loved Phillip Holcomb, Sr. in 1969 whom she shared two children with. She went on to love Theodore Robert Lane with whom she shared 1 child.

Iola then met Willard Davis and they married in 1998. They owned and ran several businesses together including Willard’s BBQ and an appliance store.

She was survived by her children Natasha Holcomb, Phillip Holcomb (deceased), Theodora Holcomb; Grandchildren: Victor, Victoria, Ana, Victorri, Lucille, Steven, Sunshine, Heaven and Lovely; Great Grandchildren: Levi, Sage, Ocean.
