Funeral Services for Mr. Joe Nathan Wyatt, 88, of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11 am. At the Livingston Church Of God In Christ with Rev. James E. Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow at Kibbiefield Cemetery in Marston, Texas. Joe was born March 22, 1931 in Livingston, Texas to Mr. Morgan Wyatt Sr. and Mrs. Jettie Green Wyatt. And he passed away April 19, 2019 in Livingston, Texas.

Joe grew up in Marston/New Willard, Texas and attended public schools at Dunbar High School.

At a very early age he accepted Chris and united with St. Paul Baptist Church in Marston, Texas. In 1979 he united with the Livingston Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Elder Richard Scott. Later Bishop Rayford Chimney became pastor and appointed Joe as the Head Deacon of the Church, he served in the capacity faithfully until his health failed him. Deacon Wyatt also served as Head Usher of the Livingston C.O.G.I.C., he cleaned the church, and also drove the church van, whatever was asked of Deacon Wyatt he was never hesitant to do it. He was very dedicated in the positions he served.

Deacon Wyatt  worked at the sawmill in New Willard, Texas for a number of years, he later was employed by Gaylord Construction until he retired. Deacon Wyatt was instrumental in building the Loop on old business 59.

In 1992 he married Mother Marcia Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; 2 Brothers: Doug and David Wyatt; Sisters: Helen White; Hazel Johnson; Pearlie B. Criswell; Edna Menefee and Johnnie Mae Wyatt; Son Joe Cliff Wyatt; Daughter: Willie Mae Wyatt.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Step Daughter: Carolyn Green of Houston, Texas; 3 Sons: Herbert L. Wyatt of Center, Texas; James E. Wyatt of Longview, Texas; Nathan C. Wyatt of Center, Texas; 3 Daughters: Evelyn Wortham (A.C. Jr.) of Livingston, Texas; Janet C. Wyatt of Houston, Texas; Willie Mae Elizabeth of Dallas, Texas; Brothers: Clifton, Wyatt Sr. of Livingston, Texas; Dennis Wyatt of Leggett, Texas; Morgan Wyatt Jr. (Willie Lee) of Marston, Texas; 12 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
